Born in 1970 in Detroit, Jeffrey Till is husband, father, a business owner, a professional (industry) writer, author, and was a hobbyist musician, songwriter and visual artist. Jeff grew up in metro Detroit and has lived in the Boston MA metro for 20 years. He currently resides in the low country of South Carolina where he’s lived for the past decade with his wife Jennifer of 26 years and his children Adie, Huck and Vy.
Jeff is owner, general manager and lead writer for the company SAM-LAB, INC. which he founded in 2004 and has completed over $20 million in project work to date. Currently 10+ people strong, SAM-LAB produces graphics and sales materials for top technology companies. At SAM-LAB, Jeff writes papers and designs presentations on behalf of his corporate clients and is head administrator for the company, overseeing finance and operations. Prior to starting SAM-LAB, Jeff was a consultant and marketing professional with the companies A.T. Kearney, PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Pamet River Partners and HNW.

A alternative education advocate, Jeff published the book “Rise Above School” in 2015 on making the case for home schooling, which he implemented with his children. He has also blogged on the subject, as well as on other topics such as economics, politics and culture (link to come possibly). In 2015, Jeff released a 30 episode podcast series called “Jeff Till’s FHY” on his personal thoughts on popular subjects. It can be found in the Apple Podcast app, Stitcher (maybe) and SoundCloud.
Jeff is an on and off hobby fine art painter and was a hobbyist musician and songwriter. In the 80s and early 90s, Jeff played bass and sang for the Kalamazoo bands Overman and Screwtape (links to come) while finishing his theatre and art undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University. The bands released an album each, with Overman producing the album “Racecar” (1991) and Screwtape releasing “Anthemunanthem” (1993). Upon moving to Boston in the early 90s, Jeff started a solo project called TASM Lab where he wrote, recorded and released four albums with guest singers from Kalamazoo, including the rock operas “Thing and Nothing” (1995) and “The Essential Cubicle Nosepicker” (1998) and the more traditional albums “An Adulty Adipici” (2006) and “The Bramble of Hell” (2009). Around 2000, Jeff formed the band The Hudson Debacle as a singer/drummer with good friends who played shows around Boston and released two albums: “Rockmen to a Far Away Nowhere” (2001) and “Into the Monkey Oven” (2002). In 2007, Jeff created the site Leonstemple.com as a tribute/archive of early 90s Kalamazoo music. (Links to come).
